在高中、大學的機率課程，一定會提到古典機率的定義，這個定義就是數學家Laplace
拉普拉斯（Pierre-Simon Laplace，公元1749─公元1827）是法國分析學家、機率論學家、天文學家和物理學家。生於諾曼第的博蒙昂諾日，卒於巴黎。因家境貧寒，幼年求學於鄰近的慈善機構及靠鄰居資助上學，在博蒙軍事學校讀書，顯露數學才華，不久就成為該校數學教員。1785午當選為法國科學院（Académie des Sciences）院士。1795年任巴黎綜合工科學校教授，後又在高等師範學校任教授。1816年成為法蘭西學院（Académie Française）院士，次年任該院院長。…
